Is it necessary to continue with Central Vista Project ?

Is it fair for Modi to have a palace built for himself which is a part of Central Vista Project? Couldn't that money be used for a medical emergency that we are currently in?

At this time, the “Anti India Gang” is active in social media and the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being targeted to tarnish the image of the country at the international level. Most of the people who do this are people who sell themselves in exchange for some favors or do not know the reality.

This question also appears in the same direction with the ulterior motive of creating anger among the people in the time of this pandemic.

Let's understand the whole issue.

The Central Vista Project is a very large project with a cost of about Rs 20000 crores and which is to be completed in about 7 to 8 years. The entire money is not to be spent in one go, but this is to be done in the next 7- 8 years.

During the previous regime a number of big scams of more than this project cost were done deliberately. Can any one dare to question that if those scams had not happened and that money was invested in health care services, then India's health infrastructure would have been better.

The entire central vista project is planned to develop the area of Raisina Hill from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, about 3 kilometers long. It includes Parliament House, Offices for MPs, Central Secretariat, SPG Office, Prime Minister and Vice President's offices and residences, Central Conference Center, etc. It also includes the work under which the offices of North and South Blocks and the old Parliament House are to be converted into museums.

The old Parliament House is over 100 years old and its capacity is limited. Keeping in mind that the number of Members of Parliament will increase over time, there will also be a seating arrangement for additional MPs and space will be reserved for their offices as well.

The biggest thing is that out of this Rs 20000 crore, 50-60% of the amount will be paid only to the laborers as wages. The remaining amount will include construction materials, etc., on which GST will also be included up to 28%, which will come back to the government.

In this era of the Corona pandemic where workers are on the verge of being unemployed due to the shutdown of most economic activities, the Central Vista Project will continue to provide employment to hundreds of workers continuously and due to which it becomes important even at this time.

As regards the Prime Minister's residence, it is a very small part of this entire project and that is not going to become the personal fief of Narendra Modi, rather it will be the residence of the Prime Minister and with the change of power, the Prime Minister will come and go.

This would prevent the wastage and misuse of buildings as the Prime Minister's residence, as was done during the Congress regime that the residences of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi were converted into monuments.

After the Prime Minister's house is built, its importance will be like Rashtrapati Bhavan and the outgoing Prime Minister will have to vacate this house, which will prevent wastage of money in future.

As regards concern about the money for the healthcare system, during a pandemic caused by the Chinese virus, there is no shortage of funds for that.

A provision of Rs35 thousand crores has been made in the budget of the current financial year for vaccination alone. A provision of more than 3 lakh crores has been made for the health system and services. Therefore, India's economic situation is not so bad that there is a compulsion to spend the money of a project on Coronavirus. Apart from Central Vista, national highways and other infrastructure projects are being run all over the country following Corona Protocol with the same objective so that the workers get employment and the economy will also revolve.

Therefore, people should beware of rumors and anti-India mentality and movement.
