Why did the Hindu become a slave?

Ques. The most important but unanswered question of all time: Why did the Hindu become a slave?

This is a very good question and such questions are often raised in many seminars and on other occasions. Often people try to tell in a philosophical sense through folk tales and other parables, which is also appropriate but none of them could satisfy me by giving a correct answer to this question. The first time I heard a speech by the late Rajiv Dixit, in which he touched this aspect to some extent and I was very impressed by it.

In order to understand the answer to this question and the elation and the curiosity behind it, we have to understand the basic spirit of Sanatan Dharma( mistakenly understood as Hindu Religion) and keep in mind the ancient spiritual and religious development journey of India.

India is the oldest civilization in the world and hence culturally and religiously, it is still the most prosperous in the world. In Sanatan Dharma, attaining salvation through Sadhana / Tapasya (meditation) Satkarma ( good moral work) is considered to be the prime objective of life. The culture in which all forms of nature like river, sea, mountain, tree, cow, lion, snake, etc. are worshiped, non-violence is an integral part of the religion, even ants should not be crushed by deception while on the way, is taken care of. In such a culture and religion, one can easily imagine how high will be the place of virtue, peace, tolerance and human values.

But even then, the ruler and emperor followed the "Ahimsa Parmo Dharma, Dharma Himsa Tathaiva Cha". The meaning of this verse is that non-violence is the ultimate religion of man and when the religion is hit, the violence done to protect and restore that religion is even greater.

Unfortunately, due to various reasons, we were only reminded of "Ahimsa Paramo Dharma" and due to this reason, we could not become violent even to protect the nation and religion. In the changing environment of the modern era, it is believed that the more violent one is, the more powerful it is believed to be. Therefore, non-violent will be prooved weak and then slavery will become his destiny.

Let us understand this in detail.

The rule of King Ram of Ayodhya in Treta Yug is an example for the whole world till date, which is called Ram Rajya and in which he presented the example of his being the most dignified man (Maryada Purushottam) in front of mankind. In spite of all this, he killed the demons when needed and did not back down from violence to protect the religion and the sovereignty of the nation.

In Dwapar Yug, Shri Krishna also justified the war for the establishment & restoration of religion and for destroying unrighteousness and also accepted it unhindered. This was a big message for the people, but unfortunately people here started forgetting it only after 5000 years.

After the rise of Jainism and Buddhism, any kind of violence began to be considered inappropriate. People were enthralled by worldly pleasures and renounced and adopted simplicity. This had a wide impact on the public, they got a life of peace and goodwill and people went on to become non-violent.

Under the influence of Jainism and Buddhism, many kings also adopted it and they continued to fight war. As a result, the military force was also weakened and the development of new weapons and equipment in the defense sector was almost stopped.

In ancient times, the empire of India was all over the Jambudweep ( India and few neighbours) and Afghanistan, Iran and Arabia were part of his empire due to Chanakya's nationalist policy during the reign of Chandragupta Maurya, which remained till the reign of Emperor Ashoka.

The description of Maharaja Chandragupta Vikramaditya is found in the Bhavishya Purana and the Skanda Purana. The leftist and Islamic historians of India have completely distorted the history of India. A good and reliable description has been made by foreign historians. Vikramaditya is described in ancient Arab literature that at that time his rule extended to Arabia and Egypt. People from all over the earth were familiar with his name. The Arab conquest of Vikramaditya is described by the Arabic poet Jarham Kintoi in his book 'Sa'ir-ul-Okul'.

The glorious emperor of Magadha, Chandragupta Maurya, had become a Jain in his last days and had completely abandoned the violence. His grandson Ashoka the great was the only emperor in the great Indian history during whose reign no foreign invader dared to look at India, but he was so saddened by the horrific massacre of the Kalinga war that he too took up Buddhism and the focus on the defense of the state's military force and borders almost ceased. His entire focus was on the propagation of Buddhism, he also gave his son and daughter the same work and as a Buddhist monk, he was sent to many countries to spread the propagation of Buddhism.

It is said that Subject follows the king . The subjects were also forgetting their masculinity, due to lack of recruitment in the army. The spirit of patriotism among the young men was also decreasing and physical fitness was not a priority. Foreigners were eyeing India's non-violent tendency and weak defense system and taking advantage of this, Mohammed bin Qasim launched the first attack on India, although his intention was only to loot, not to establish power.

In Afghanistan, all the people were Buddhist, these foreign invaders did not have to work hard in defeating and looting them. After this, the continuous order of foreign robbers started. Mahmud Ghaznavi looted the Somnath temple 17 times and broke many of the temples here, looted the vast wealth accumulated in the royal houses of India and went back. He came to India with the intention of looting it so many times, but not even once the Indian kings united and did answer him.

Due to this, India's weakness was exposed badly and after this, the process of foreign invasions was started without end.

Mohammad Ghori also did the same. Prithviraj Chauhan defeated him many times and he kept going back after losing but no king of India including Prithviraj Chauhan followed him and tried to end him forever. As a result, he continued to come and in the battle of Tarain, he defeated Prithviraj Chauhan with the help of one of his relatives Jayachand who was King of Kannauj.

Prithviraj Chauhan's eyes were torn and he was taken captive and dragged away. Even according to the order of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer, whose dargah is visited by thousands of Hindus every year, his wife Sanyogita was stripped naked and handed over to Mohammed Gauri's soldiers for rape. No Indian king resisted, not even Jaichand, the king of Kannauj, while Prithviraj Chauhan's wife Sanyogita was his daughter. Ghori also defeated Jaichand later and his son was also very brutally murdered.

Indian kings were always ready to humiliate each other and if they had to help the enemy for this, they used to do it.

Indian society was also badly divided into varnas ( sections) and castes. The responsibility of protecting the country was solely on the Kshatriya community, whose population was very small. Gradually, all of northern India was captured by the invaders and established power here.

The people of the state of Bengal were followers of Buddhism and with the help of very few soldiers, Muslim invaders established their rule without any resistance. In 1757, history once again repeated itself and only 300 soldiers of the East India Company defeated the vast army of eighteen thousand soldiers of Siraj-ud-daula in the Battle of Plassey with the help of Mir Jafar. These 300 soldiers of the British took 18 thousand Indian soldiers captive and took the capital of Bengal to Murshidabad by road. Huge crowds flocked on both sides of the road to see the spectacle, no one offered any resistance.

Clive Lloyd has written in his memoir that if the people present there had even thrown a small stone, the British would have ceased to exist from India. Due to this cowardice, bravado, compromising nature and mutual differences, the first Muslim invaders and robbers in India established power and later the British rule was established over India.

Few Britishers ruled India for 200 years with the help of soldiers of Indian origin and employees of Indian origin. It was the Indians who persecuted the Indians. Nowhere in world history is it seen that the majority of the people of that country have never resisted.

Even today people of a small country like Hong Kong do not view Indians with respect because a few thousand British ruled crores of Indians and Indians tortured Indians. Unlike India, the natives of Hong Kong refused to join the British army, the natives never joined the army or police nor ever became a government employee because they could not persecute their own.

The British adopted a policy of divide & rule and established the Indian National Congress on its own to avoid any possible resistance by Indians. The publicity of which was to give freedom to the people of India, but the real objective was to rule India for the next 100 years and to ensure the success of their mission, the British also called Gandhiji from South Africa, because the British was greatly impressed with the help of Gandhi extended to British power in South Africa .

After the arrival of Gandhi, the South African experiment of non-violence started in India too, which was needed by the British very much in India.

61 years after the founding of the Congress in 1885, India was destined for independence in 1947, not because the Congress launched a vigorous movement, but because the UK economy had deteriorated after World War II, and for many other international reasons, Britain was not in a position to continue their rule in India. If the Second World War had not happened, the British might have been ruling even today with the help of Congress and Gandhi.

Conclusion:

Is it still very difficult to understand Why Hindus and India as a nation were enslaved?

  • Sanatan Dharma's very peaceful spirit, morality, virtue, Jainism and Buddhism's spirit of non-violence and renunciation gave a huge hit to the courage and valor of Hindus which cannot be imagined. Even today, there is hardly any weapon other than a vegetable cutting knife in the house of a Hindu.
  • Hindu society, divided into varnas ( sections) and castes, could never unite and compete with the aggressors, and this schism made the work of the invaders easier.
  • We have not learned anything from history. Did we not even learn to write the correct history? According to the anti-national and anti Hindu historians Romila Thapar and Irfan Habib, India was enslaved only to the British, as if India itself had invited to hand over power to Muslim invaders.
  • In Hindu society, today all the same factors exist in a more dangerous situation than ever before, we have not learned anything as a society. We are still mentally enslaved today and perhaps this slavery has come in our blood. If we still do not cure this disease, then now we have to be ready to die, not slavery. That would be the death of Sanatan culture on the earth.
